Meet Raul — the guy behind the grill, the fryer, and probably the reason your shirt suddenly feels a little tighter.

 

"I co-founded Papa Juancho’s for one simple reason: I love feeding people. There’s nothing better than handing someone a plate of food and watching that first bite turn into a smile.

 

I’ve spent 10+ years in kitchens (minus a few months), learning and cooking everywhere from Chipotle, Texas Roadhouse, and Whataburger to local favorites like Wayside Pub, 3rd Coast Pizza, Growlers, Nena’s, Original Bodega, and The Fill Station. Along the way, I’ve cooked just about everything and learned that great food doesn’t need to be complicated—it just needs to be made with care and a little bit of crazy.

 

Over the last couple of years, I’ve really made a name for myself by creating fun, over-the-top specials that keep people wondering, 'What the hell is he thinking of now?'"
